Stryker involved in Israeli highway accident!

25.3.2005-

"The drivers on Highway 6 (Israel's only toll highway, max speed of 110kmh-Sheman edit) at 11:00 AM yesterdy could not believe thier eyes. The driver of a "Subaru" was driving at high speeds against the direction of traffic. The "Subaru" drove almost 9 miles against traffic, forcing 6 cars off the road and injuring 3 people, when it was crushed under the wheels of a military APC. The driver was killed on the spot.

Even the police accident investigators, who are used to harsh scenens, were shocked by what they found at the site. The "Subaru was utterly crushed and flattened under te wheels of the massive APC.

Due to the immense damage caused it took a long time to identify the driver, Kader Yosef(46) from Ramla. The Police is now trying to understand the cause of his rackless driving. Among other options, DUI and Suicide are considred.

The military vehicle, a "Stryker" APC on testing by the IDF, sustained almost no damage, accept for a flat tire."




Dang you have to be unlucky to be doing that on the same day they test an APC.... :?

But it's quite lucky for the rest of the vehicles following the Stryker.. ;)
 
looks like the stryker passed with flying colors. perhaps pirelli should be manufacturing the tires to help prevent future flats.

Dont know about that. Subarus are not the main threat to IDF vehicles. And the ones that are are usually full of explosives.
