Strange thing I have noticed at both the DNC and the RNC

At the DNC, the protesters were in very low numbers and most were peaceful. Yet at the RNC most of them are socialist and anarchists and alway threaten violent action and cause major problems. Property Destruction, Riots, etc....

Hmmmm..... Is it me or are the majority of protesters that support the Democrats more on the side of wrong then right when it comes to protesting?

I'm all for freedom of speech and the right to protest. I can't be in favor of the 2nd Amendment and not the 1st Amendment. I support both as equally as I support breathing and living.

I've been talkign to some of my LEO buddies working the RNC and they've informed me that the protesters are stating come Thursday it's them or the cops. That the protesters will "take no prisoners".

Well, all I can say is I hope the protesters brought enough bail bondmen and possibly body bags if they want to get violent.

Even if the protesters bleed as a result of police defending themselves, it will be called police brutality and if one or two protesters die for whatever reason it'll be called a massacre. It'll be like that protest in Italy years ago I guess. Or Seattle.
What I think... pull out all the cops. Let the bad guys do what they want. Once they've done it. Lock and load.

All it means is that our protesters actually have a spine and are willing to do something about what they deem unjust.

I'm 100% for protesting. You have the right to voice your opinion as much as the next guy.

But vandalism and destruction of property and physical harm isn't protesting.

Unjust? What -an opposing view? This is an election - No? All of the people vote - No? The other road leads to Animal Farm.

Here is the logical flaw in your argument 5.56.

You try to tie the protesters at the RNC with the Democratic party. Most of the people who demonstrated there were against the war in Iraq, started by a Republican president. Obviously, they have no reason to demonstrate at the DNC, since they tie the war in Iraq in with the Republicans. This does not mean that they are necessarily democrats though, just that they are attacking a particular platform which the Republican party has been supporting.

Unless you can show a study or report about the political leanings of the protesters there, I dont think you can show that they were Republican, Democrat or a member of any other party.

Could you explain DNC and RNC... maybe i'm just stupid :)
ah well i looked it up- thought about s.th. like that because of the context...

Pfff... what is the point of this whole threat? To show that Democrats are malicious, violant miscreants that want to throw the whole nation in turmoil?

Yet at the RNC most of them are socialist and anarchists and alway threaten violent action and cause major problems

1) they threaten.... they obviously didn't do.
2) socialist + anarchist does not equal democrat.

So again I ask; what is the point of this threat. We already know you dislike Democrats... and I can't see any other point then demonizing the Democrats some more.

Yes.

Welcome to the last three months of the political forum.

I am used to some of it, reading this stuff since 2005 prepared me somewhat. But I can see a tendency of increased nonsence and elections in November.
I hoped to see actual and factual information, not some copy-paste from some left or right wing gossip page..... Sometimes it amuses me so I return here again and again and again....

No, anti-Republican rallies tend to be crazier. I think they always have been. It's the sort of crowd I guess. Definitely not the mainstream Democrats. Psycho weirdos who love to stir up sh*t. It's a bit like those guys who go to football games for the sole purpose of starting riots.

There were signs that said "McCain votes against Vets" and "Democrats against McCain"....

And Ted, you must not have seen the protesters, there were 286 arrests at the RNC... Wanna know how many at the Democratic Convention? I got news for ya... It wasn't almost 300 people...

Close to 300 getting arrested isn't exactly a few but the extremists don't care that their actions HURT their overall cause. They're doing it for the thrill. For a sort of a spiritual or psychological high they get from chaos and disorder. Protesting violently has become too safe I guess.

300 soldiers were killed in Iraq today.

(not really, just illustrating that 300 is still a lot, even when you look at the total number of men and women in the military. Can you IMAGINE what the press would do with that headline?

Still doesn't prove how many were Democrats. 1 sign that says "Democrats against McCain" among 50000 protesters does not mean that they are all Democrats. Unless you have a detailed breakdown of the exact beliefs of the group, or it was a publicly sanctioned protest by the Democratic party, you still cant prove they were all Democrats.
