Stewart finished ninth in the NRA A-Main after setting quick time in qualifying.

Stars from the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series took part in the second annual Old Spice Summer Sizzler on Wednesday night at Tony Stewart’s historic one-half mile Eldora Speedway.

Stewart was joined by Kasey Kahne, Dave Blaney, Kenny Wallace and Kenny Schrader for two feature races for the National Racing Alliance Sprint Invaders and UMP (United Midwestern Promoters) Modifieds in front of an estimated 9,000 fans.

The NRA event featured Stewart, Kahne and Blaney. Stewart finished ninth in the A-Main after setting quick time in qualifying. Kahne and Blaney, who both had mechanical problems, did not race in the main event, which was won by Tim Allison.

Schrader bested Wallace in the A-Main for the Modifieds with a ninth-place finish. Wallace, who also won the second B-Main, finished last in 22nd-place. Brian Ruhlman took the checkered flag in that event.

After the race concluded, Stewart stayed well after midnight to sign autographs for the fans.
