Sports/MLB Quote of the Day

Heard this just now on ESPN's SportsCenter. They were talking about how the Chicago White Sox starter (Mark Buehrle) gave up 7 runs to the Minnesota Twins in the bottom of the first inning -- and still won his start. The last time that happened was back in 1900 (Jack Powell won for the St. Louis Cardinals).

Stuart Scott: "Oh, and a side note to that game in 1900, that was Julio Franco's second year in the bigs."

John Anderson: "That ain't right."

(For those of you that have absolutely no idea of that reference, Julio Franco is the oldest player in Major League Baseball right now, at something like age 48.)
