Trying to recall the full version of the following cadence, the refrain of which is:

Hey Hey Rock and Roll
The Sound of the Rotors is Hard and Cold
And Ivan's Always Ready to Go
So Early in the Morning

Anyone ever heard this one?

Oh boy !!! I remember some of this, we did this cadence while I was in PLDC and the regulars that we marched by was in awe!!!!! We did this at half-step when we got close to our barracks.

I really wish I could remember all of this, I only seem to recall bits and pieces.

Hey Hey Rock and Roll
The Sound of the Rotors is Hard and Cold
And We were Always Ready to Go
So Early in the Morning

My buddies were all KIA's
The familes wanted the bodies returned
But we got drunk and had then burned
So Early in the Morning

Hey Hey Rock and Roll
The Sound of the Rotors is Hard and Cold
And We were Always Ready to Go
So Early in the Morning

I am going to really have to reach back and think on this one. I can not believe I can't remember it! I do remember a verse about "A tanker gun going BOOM!"

This is what I found on google.
HEY HO LOCK AND LOAD
THE SOUND OF THE ROTORS ARE LOUD AND COLD
SO EARLY , SO EARLY, SO EARLY IN THE MORNING.

HEY HO LOCK IN LOAD
UP IN THE MORNIN AND OUTA THE RACK
GOTTA GET READY FOR A PREDAWN ATTACK
SO EARLY, SO EARLY, SO EARLY IN THE MORNING.

HEY HO LOCK AND LOAD
THE ENEMY STRUCK WITH A MORTOR ATTACK
YOU SHOULDA SEEN THE MESS IT MADE
SO EARLY, SO EARLY, SO EARLY IN THE MORNING.

HEY HO LOCK AND LOAD
WE DECIDED WE WEREN'T READY TO DIE
WE LOOKED AROUND AT THE CRIMSON SKY
SO EARLY, SO EARLY, SO EARLY IN THE MORNING.

HEY HO LOCK AND LOAD
GRABBED OUR AMMO OFF WE GO
TO FACE THE ENEMY ONE ONE ON ONE
SO EARLY, SO EARLY, SO EARLY IN THE MORNING.

HEY HO LOCK AND LOAD
THE AIR WAS STILL MY WAS TRUE
MY RIFLE AND I KEPT LET FREEDOM RING
SO EARLY, SO EARLY, SO EARLY IN THE MORNING.

HEY HO LOCK AND LOAD
IF THERE IS ONE THING THE ARMY TAUGHT ME
I'M A SOLDIER THE BEST I CAN BE
I TRAIN TO FIGHT, AND PRAY FOR PEACE
SO EARLY, SO EARLY, SO EARLY IN THE MORNING.

Hey hey rock and roll

Enya1982 STFU. How did you get on this site?
Hey hey rock and roll from what I remember at FT. Rucker AL.
Great cadence before post commanders wife thought it was offensive.
From what I remember:

Hey hey rock and roll..
the sound of the rotor's are mighty cold
and I am always ready to go
so early in the morning.

The infantry is standing by
we load them up and we take to the sky
and 1 by 1 they start to die
so early in the morning

Hey hey repeat

One burning Cobra starts to spin
We hear the screams of dying men
and Ivan is ready to go
So early in the morning

Is this familiar?

I vaguely recall this from basic, way back.
I only ever heard it in Basic, from one Drill. He was the only one who ever did this cadence. Never heard it again.

Back at the fire base
Contemplate the stars and space
...
Ivan's always ready to go, so early in the mornin
