Hey Guys,
I'm still alive and kicking! Just been working a lot and working on my Remote controlled combat ships! I would like you all to meet my escort carrier USS Nassau. She's a 1.5 battle unit ship, one gun, .5unit pump and very hard to hit! here a photo of the real ship, i haven't taken any newer photo of her..

Dadsgirl here. I've been here since last May, I do think.
My Dad was in the Navy in WWll.
Post more about your ships.
Soon, I'm going to post some ships myself, from Dad's old photos that I am lucky enough to own.
Ta for now!

Dadsgirl,
Most of the ships I build are Remote controlled, and Shot High powered BB.. its a fun hobby!

I would be interested to see some of these ships, I assume you have built the Prinz Eugen at some stage.

I built a 2metre RC model of it with an aluminium hull and wooden deck for my final year High School Technical Drawing project.

Perhaps you could start a thread and post a few pictures.

Hey Monty,
That would be a hack ya :D :) But this is me with her, She belongs to a friend..

It looks good, although historical accuracy indicates it should have a wooden deck cover and the camouflage strips should continue over the superstructure as well..

:)

Do the guns fire on that one?

At the time I built mine the pre-made BB guns were not available so I spent forever milling my own on the school lathe, it was a lot of fun and they looked the part but I would love to have been able to fire them.
