Sonic Bomb?

I was recently speaking with a friend of mine who always seems to be in the know about some of the new high tech weaponry the U.S. has been developing, he told me about a "Sonic Bomb" or something of the like which emits sound pulses in the neighborhood of 500db which will liquefy a human body. Supposedly they use it against tunnel networks when the the enemy is hiding under mountains and whatnot.

I did a quick google search and couldn't find anything on this.
Does anyone know any more about this bomb?

Yeah, I have the designs, detailed blueprints, engineering schematics, list of the scientists involved and related US patent office documents, along with other confidential papers showing what military facilities they're stored at. Does any of that interest you? If you reply within 24 hours I might also throw in the nuclear ICBM launch codes...

Hmm, sorry. Guess that explains the mysterious CH-53 landing in my backyard last night and why that SEAL CT team who stormed into my house was a tinsy bit ruder than the SWAT team, who paid me a visit a few months back for wanting to own a silencer and writing about it... Baaah. :smil:

Oh, and they took all my shoes. What's that about?

I laughed pretty hard, actually; "government guys" must have the boot camp stick too far up their fifth points of contact. You need to relax a little

lol, never mind. typed it hebrew letters but english spelling.

I said that Korea has very strict opsec and they are very serious about stuff like that.

Wow, sonic bombs? The only sonic bombs I know are flashbangs... What? they blow and use sound to help bad guys to focus on important tasks like dying...

But I dont know if sound can liquify a human body... I can imagine microwave bombs... But not sonic bombs...

Not a bomb but the Guiness book of records has/had(?) a listing for an air raid siren in the US that was supposed to be fatal @ something like 20 feet, & could bore through concrete @ point blank range.

You can.
You turn on a sound at the same harmonic frequency of whatever part/material of the body you wish to destroy and crank up the energy.

Ouch... And do we all share the same harmonic frequencies? Is it useful to cover our ears?

Damn, aint war hell?

It has nothing to do with what you hear. You can use the principal to destroy things that aren't even alive.
Yes, we all share the same frequencies for same body parts. There is no special "infidel" frequency you can use to kill the rest of us.

are you talking about LRAD's? or just a concussion bomb? i know we've been briefed about concussion grenades, but a large scale bomb is going to do that anyway. unless you're talking about this guy...

hehehe, you, you are in love with Lady Gaga... I can see that.

And guys, have you heard about these "sound drugs" ?

I was listening to a radio program speaking about some sounds that have effects on the brain for some reasons... Effects that are close to drugs...

And they added something like that the brain gets used to these signals and that they had to buy other samples to feel an effect... Was driving, didnt hear with a lot of care.

So maybe that some crazy scientists will use similar techniques to make some sounds that knock people unconscious using something else that the brute power of the sound waves...

Like a keyword to make the brain shut down... Like LeEnfield's pop singers...

I haven't heard of large specialized "sonic" bombs, since all large bombs produce sonic shock waves in the course of their normal operation. Acoustic weapons are more typically in the "less lethal" range and have very specialized applications -ranges are limited. Certain frequencies like infrasound are particularly effective.

Here is an interesting paper on the subject

But I know that Germans tried some sound based weapons to destroy airplanes... In the WWII era...

I can take a look on this if you want...

The potential for the human mind to create is awe inspiring, but sometimes that ambition is totally twisted.

We are amazing creatures.
