And that crap about "a bullet doesn't knock you down, your reaction to the bullet knocks you down" wtf has he been smoking? The energy of a .50 caliber round will indeed take you off your feet and plant you in your neighbours yard.

They been doing that since the 1980s. They're from 2nd Chance, an American Kevlar Vest company. They just had a major iossue with their vests due to faulty material.

And as for the bullet not knocking you down. They are talking about common caliber like .308 Winchester and 7.62x39mm. Not .50 BMG.

To really understand what they mean, the amount of recoil you feel when you fire a rifle is the same amount of energy that hits the target. The main difference is that the bullet is tiny and all of that enegry is focused into a small area and the recoil of the rifle is spread out throught the stock and the recoil pad.
 
Even though they may know what their talking about theres some pretty unsafe weapon handling there.
