So why do people hate Israel?

I am not even going to answer the question in this thread.

What I am finding fascinating is how much time and energy people always put into the Israel and Palestine conflict. And also how people take it extremely personal, like what do you expect, that you have found the objective truth about the whole situation? It's a 50 year long and complex conflict so please, have some humility that thing's aren't all black or white.

That's the type of answer that has encouraged this situation to develop for over 65 years and will allow it to keep bumbling on. No one will admit that there is an elephant in the room.

It's not a complex situation either legally or morally, and it's costing Americans more than most, killing and maiming many of your most prized young men and women, not to mention the enormous financial strain it is placing on your country, a country that at this moment, is technically bankrupt.

But, I suppose it distracts the taxpayers from wondering why their politicians are not actually doing much for their country. If it were any other country, the US would have invaded or bombed them back into the Dark Ages.

Odd seems Israelis do recognise Palestinians (yes VD that would be the group you say don't exist) and some of them even seem to be grasping the realities of the situation and know that they are an occupation force as well.

Israeli former security chief: failure to end conflict is bigger threat than Iran Yuval Diskin says two-state solution will soon no longer be possible and Palestinian youths are 'frustrated and hopeless'

The failure to reach a deal to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict poses a bigger existential threat to Israel than the Iranian nuclear programme, according a former head of the country's security agency, Shin Bet.
Yuval Diskin, who left office two years ago, criticised the continuing occupation and the growth of settlements in the West Bank, saying a solution based on two states would soon no longer be an option.
"I would like to know that our national home has clear borders and that we hold the people sacred, not the land. I would like to see a national home that is not maintained by occupying another people. I say this even though it's not popular: we need an agreement now, before we reach a point of no return from which the two-state solution is not an option any longer," Diskin said in a speech to mark the 10th anniversary of the Geneva Initiative, a peace plan proposed by Israeli and Palestinian politicians and public figures.
The former security chief, who featured in the Oscar-nominated documentary The Gatekeepers, added: "We cannot live in one state between the Jordan river and the Mediterranean Sea and we cannot treat the conflict as shrapnel in the backside." He was referring to comments by the economy minister Naftali Bennett, who dismissed the conflict as "shrapnel in [the] rear end".
Diskin called for a freeze in settlement expansion, saying that the release of long-serving Palestinian prisoners, agreed by the prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, before the current talks began, was "a disgusting and cynical move that was born out of a desire to avoid freezing settlement construction".
Speaking as the US secretary of state, John Kerry, arrived in Jerusalem for a fresh push at unblocking the current talks process, Diskin warned of the consequences of the Israeli government's stance.
"It doesn't seem like the current government is trying to change the direction of the settlement enterprise. Our friends in the world are becoming frustrated with the implementation of the two-state solution. There is immense frustration in the West Bank. The Palestinians are feeling that their state is being stolen from them. The Palestinian masses feel they have no future. We must take into account the link between the Palestinians and their brothers, the Israeli Arabs. The concentration of fuel fumes in the air is such that even a small spark can cause a massive explosion."
Palestinian youths "that were born into occupation are distressed, frustrated and hopeless", he added.
Diskin has repeatedly criticised Israeli government policy since leaving the Shin Bet, which runs security and intelligence operations in the West Bank and Gaza. His comments were dismissed by serving officials as "recycled criticism and self-righteous preaching". Diskin was "out of touch with reality", they said.

Palestinian teenager shot dead by Israeli sniper near Ramallah
Published today (updated) 07/12/2013 22:08

(MaanImages)
RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- A Palestinian teenager was shot dead by Israeli soldiers in al-Jalazun refugee camp near Ramallah on Saturday.

Wajih Wajdi al-Ramahi, 14, was shot with live bullets in the back by an Israeli sniper in front of his school.

Al-Ramahi was taken to the hospital, and placed in the ICU until he died.

Locals told Ma'an that the area where al-Ramahi was shot had no clashes or any kind of rock-throwing incidents that might have provoked the killing.

The teenager father's said Israeli soldiers target youths and kill them, in order to amuse themselves.

He added that his son was shot by an Israeli soldier from a watchtower in Bet El with one bullet while he was walking near a school in the camp. He was hit directly in the back, and there was no clashes in the area, he added.

Al-Ramahi family said that their son was "executed" and "assassinated in cold blood," because he was shot in the middle of the day in the camp.

An Israeli spokeswoman said that they had opened an investigation into the matter, but had no further details.

254208.jpg

More than 30 Palestinians have been killed so far in 2013 by Israeli forces.

As usual conflicting reports. Maan and Walla say the boy was 14, AFP and activists on Twitter put the boy’s age at 15. Others said he was 13.
Some say he was in front of the school (which one?) another said he came from the supermarket. His father blamed it on soldiers in a watch tower while two friends of the victim said Israeli soldiers came from behind a fence and opend fire. His father cleared the body for an autopsy and Palestinian authorities agreed. It should have been done sunday morning. Where are the results??? If it was an Israeli bullet then it would have been already shown.

We al know that when a Palestinian dies the first thing they say is Israel did it and start posting pictures. Then follows the "investigation". Usually without any confirmation of what happend.

The Israeli approach is much more professional. They first investigate and then give the facts how it happend.

What Is It Like to Be Attacked By Rocks?

Israel Puts Conflict Aside To Save Palestinian Lives
According to a 2012 World Health Organization report, Israel approved 91.5 percent of Palestinian applications from Gaza to receive medical care in Israel proper, while an additional 7.2 percent were approved pending a security check. In total, 210,469 Palestinians received medical treatment inside Israel proper in 2012. This statistic includes 20 Palestinian children who were in need of marrow transplants, kidney transplants, and other life saving operations that the Palestinian Authority did not have the ability to perform.

The Israel Defense Forces has become the first army in the world to use powdered blood products in field operations.

The lucky one? a Palestinian Arab with internal bleeding following an auto accident. The man recovered at Hadassah Hospital and has since been discharged.

But the IFD not only helps Palestinians. So many Syrians have sought help from Israel that the IDF has set-up an army field hospital near the border fence, similar to that employed in Haiti after the earthquake.

What's it like to be attacked by rocks?.... Well, it's nothing like being attacked by Armed infantry who use Palestinian farmers and children for target practice, nor is it like being attacked with white phosphorus shells and helicopters and jets with bombs and guided missiles, Just for resisting the illegal occupation of your land.

The simple answer being that if you don't like kids throwing stones at you, get the fcuk out of their land.

I see you studiously avoided noting that of the 210,469 Palestinians treated by Israel, that had Israel have not illegally occupied their land,... none of them would have been injured in the first place. Typical Israeli Hasbara, first you steal their land murdering their women and children, and killing those who resist, then you try to take credit just for doing what is called for under the Geneva conventions.

More recently:
Palestinian sources reported on Thursday that a Palestinian child has died at an Israeli occupation checkpoint that is known as "the Container" and which separates the central West Bank from the south. The sources said that the Israeli soldiers stationed at the checkpoint had stopped Palestinian vehicles for three straight hours, which led to the death of Nour Afaneh, a 14-year-old girl with special needs from the town of Abu Dis in East Jerusalem. The sources explained that the car was carrying Afaneh to Beit Jala Hospital to receive treatment in Bethlehem, however it was not allowed to pass through the checkpoint due to the backlog of traffic, leading to her death. Eyewitnesses noted that the traffic was caused when the Israeli soldiers began a thorough search of the Palestinian vehicles, inspecting their identities cards and delaying them without any apparent reason.

VD, you are a "weapons grade" ******.

Bombs and rockets are fired at Gaza (not the West Bank) in retaliation, not attack. Gaza is not occupied. The West Bank was occupied and illegaly annexed by Jordan. Israel liberated it in a defensive war. It was Israel that gave the Palestinians their first country ever in their history: the PA.

So throwing rocks at tourist is allowed? How in the hell can they know who is driving that car! In EVERY country kids who throw rocks at cars are arrested, ONLY in the PA they are encouraged to do so.

Most of them were sick, not injured.
Stealing their land? Israel gave it to them. They used to live in the Ottoman Empire. Neither the British nor the Jordanians gave them a new land when they were able to do so. When the UN gave one to them they refused. It was Israel that gave them the PA!

Murdering their women and children?

Liike this one:

Or this one:

Same story.

And what about this: Hamas Schools Teaching Children How to Kill Israelis–with Real Guns

I know, you won't read that article because it doesn't fit your thinking. That's why you know so little about it, you only read the lies.

More recently:

Why didn't they tell the soldiers it was urgent? There are countless of examples that they let people in need of medical aid through. 210,469 Palestinians did it in 2012, that's almost 580 people a day.
Or why didn't he called an ambulance? The Palestinian ones are the fastest in the world. In pallywood videos they even arrive the moment the victim gets hurt!

Well, we can stop right there. Israel never gave anyone anything, because it was never theirs to give.

The illegitimate State of Israel is still no more than occupied Palestine, as has been shown time and time again. Remember Resolution 181 was only at best a recommendation that was never ratified because it contravened both International Law and the Mandate for Palestine.

The Israeli settlements in the West bank have the same (il)legaility (depending how you look at it) as the PA. Both were established on land controled by Israel and according to international law is it is not occupied.

Article 42 of the 1907 Hague Regulations (HR) states that a " territory is considered occupied when it is actually placed under the authority of the hostile army. The occupation extends only to the territory where such authority has been established and can be exercised. "

Judea, Samaria and Gaza are not under the authority of the Israeli army but under the authority of both the PA and Israeli government (authority devided as explained in the Oslo accords)

On the other hand, when the region was under Arab (Jordan) control, they flouted international law.

They destroyed all synagogues and expelled all the Jews, even in East Jerusalem. This was a clear violation of International law.

The illegitimate State of Israel is still no more than occupied Palestine, as has been shown time and time again. Remember Resolution 181 was only at best a recommendation that was never ratified because it contravened both International Law and the Mandate for Palestine.

Again you have it all wrong. Resolution 181 was recalled by Resolution 273 (III) (as was Resolution 194). Resolution 273 (III) of May 11, 1949 admitted Israel by 37 votes in favour, 12 against, with 9 abstentions.

Another document that you are propably not aware of is the Official record of the 207th Plenary Meeting of the General Assembly, 11 May 1949 that states:

It was logical that the United Nations which has created the State of Israel, should also admit it to membership.

This clearly repudiates your statements about Israel being an illegitimate state.
All muslim states voted against (Turkey was still secular at that time and abstained) proving that it was not about the palestinians but about muslims, underscoring the religious dimension of the conflict.

The document also speaks of Arab refugees, not Palestinians.

More news about Israel:
The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) is set to vote to admit Israel to full membership in the organization, making it the first non-European member of the group.

As is always the case, you are going in circles again.

It's all been dealt with previously and covered extensively in the Israel Law Resource Centre's report and findings of the ICJ. Sorry none of the Links work as I have copied this from a PDF document, but you know where the ILRC site is anyway.

LIST OF INTERNATIONAL LAW VIOLATIONS BY THE STATE OF ISRAEL
The state of Israel has violated many international laws, including United Nations Resolutions and the Laws of War and
Occupation as stated in the Fourth Geneva Convention. Below is a summary of some of those violations. Much of the fact sheet
was taken from the Israeli Law Resource Center (ILRC). Related articles and laws by the ILRC are linked below.
ISRAELI OCCUPATION IS ILLEGAL:
Laws Violated: U.N. Charter, Article 2(4) & 51 (1945); Declaration on Principles of International Law Concerning Friendly Relations…, Principle 1
(1970).
Israeli Actions: It is illegal under international law to acquire land by force: Israel annexed land occupied by force during 1948 and 1967 wars (lands
other than those given by the UN 1947-48 partition plan) ILRC article. Military action and occupations are legal only if they are for self-defense, or
to directly benefit the native population. But studies show Israel is not just defending itself as it develops de-facto annexation with its settlements and
separation barrier on occupied land, as it takes over most of the occupied territories (over 70%) and its natural resources for its own use and
economic benefit, at the expense of the native population. ILRC article on why the Occupation is illegal.
ILLEGAL ISRAELI SETTLEMENTS ON OCCUPIED LAND:
Laws Violated: Geneva Conventions IV, Article 49(6) (1949). It is illegal to colonize occupied land or transfer non-indigenous population to that
land.
Israeli Actions: Immediately following the 1967 war, Israel began building Israeli civilian settlements on Palestinian lands, eventually building over
200 settlements throughout the occupied territories, and settling over 450,000 Israeli civilians in them, displacing hundreds of thousands of
Palestinian civilians from their own legally owned lands. In addition, Israeli citizens live in hundreds of Israeli settlements on occupied land not
originally given to them in the UN Partition Plan, displacing hundreds of thousands of Palestinians. ILRC article.
ILLEGAL TO TAKE LAND BY FORCE & CLAIM SOVEREIGNTY:
Laws Violated: U.N. Charter, Article 2(4) (1945); Declaration on Principles of International Law Concerning Friendly Relations…, Principle 1
(1970).
Israeli Actions: In violation of the UN Partition Plan, Israel took an extra 15% of the land in 1948, and then, following the 1967 war, Israel
confiscated East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights. ILRC article.
ILLEGAL ISRAELI PRACTICE OF ETHNIC CLEANSING:
Laws Violated: Forbidding civilian populations the right to return to their homes following the end of armed conflict is in direct violation of
international law and UN resolutions. Geneva Convention IV, Articles 45, 46 & 49 (1949), UN resolutions 194 (III) (General Assembly; 1948) &
237 (Security Council; 1967).
Israeli Actions: Since 1910, in different ways, the Zionists and then Israel have taken Palestinian lands, forced native populations from their land,
and then refused the Palestinian landowners or tenants’ residency or employment on them. Following fighting in 1948 and then again in 1967,
Palestinian civilians who wished to return to their homes in Israel and the Occupied Territories were forbidden re-entry (“right of return”), confining
them to increasingly smaller areas of Israel and Occupied Territories. The Israeli government enacts laws, and employs its military to keep
approximately 750,000 Palestinian Arab civilians from returning to their homes following the end of fighting both in 1948 and in the occupied
territories in 1967. Israel then violates UN resolutions ordering them to respect Palestinians’ right to return to their homes. See the ILRC article on
Right of Return and ILRC article on Ethnic Cleansing.
ISRAELI APARTHEID SYSTEM IS ILLEGAL:
Laws Violated: International Convention on the Suppression and Punishment of the Crime of Apartheid (1976). Link to our fact sheets on Israeli
Apartheid.
Israeli Actions: The State of Israel has a formal system of legalized discrimination against Palestinian Arabs which technically fits the official UN
definition of Apartheid. ILRC article. Israel’s society-wide system of discrimination and isolation of the Palestinian people within Israel, and its
system of exploitation, oppression and isolation in the occupied territories, fits exactly the official, legal UN definition of apartheid, which is
considered to be a crime against humanity. The practice of passing laws which give special favor throughout Israeli society to the Jewish people over
all other people, and especially the native Palestinian Arab people, embodies the UN definition of apartheid, which is giving special favor to one
group of people above all other groups based on criteria like what religion they are.
Another example is in 2003, the Israeli legislature (Knesset) passed legislation that forbade spouses of Arab-Israeli citizens who are in the occupied
territories from joining their families in Israel (with some exceptions). The reason for this legislation is to help maintain the Jewish demographic
There are reams and reams more of it, but I'm not going to bother, as it has pretty much all been covered previously.

No problem, the website has changed.
Would you please give facts from official institutions instead of a anti-israel website that pretends to be a law resource center. Look at the disclaimer (I've already told you in post #1274)

But here it is again:

The information from this website cannot be considered to be legal advice at all.

The doc you showed is full of BS and opinions.

-There was no Fourth Geneva Convention when the Arabs attacked Israel in 1948.
- The 1948 and 1967 wars were Israeli defensive wars. Their existence was at stake.
- The "occupation" directly benefited the native population. They got a country for the first time ever in their history. BTW the former occupier (Jordan) expelled all the Jews and destroyed all their synagogues with the approval of the native population. THIS was etnic cleansing.
- The Israeli settlements are as (il)legal as the PA. Both build on Palestine Mandate land.
- Israel never forced civilians to live in the settlements, which also house Arabs. You'll find the Ariel University in one of the settlements, they include Arab students. The Gush Etzion settlements was build in 1920 (!) but destroyed by the Arabs in the 1948 war and rebuild by Israel in 1967.
- 76.000 Palestinians work in Israel, 20.000 in the settlements earning twice as much than what they receive from Palestinian employers.
- There is no etnic cleansing. As I told you before, Jordan etnically cleansed the West Bank. No Jews are living there anymore, there used to be 10.000 Jews before the war of 1948. None is allowed to turn back. No help nor compensation from the UN whatsoever. This also applies to the almost 1.000.000 Jews who were expelled from muslim countries. Even today they are not allowed to return. So stop whining about Palestinian refugees. A lot of them returned to israel after the 1948 war and became Israeli citizens (160.000).
- There is no apartheid in Israel. Every israeli citizen has the same constitutional rights.

That will do for today.

Yeah, yeah yeah,... We already know, if it doesn't suit your purpose, it's not fact, this, and outright denial has been the best you've ever been able to come up with. Your "facts" are correct, but not those of anyone else opposing your half baked beliefs.

It is the standard ploy as used by Zionazis world wide.

As for your last answers in general, I say again, read what was posted, not what you think was posted. e.g,
My quote clearly stated that "the Fourth Geneva Convention was framed in 1949". However it is now 2013 and it is still in force.

The land was named as as Palestinian land long before Israel was ever heard of, the Jews did nothing but flood it with illegal immigrants. Remember, the Mandate was for Palestine (the place you insist does not exist) not Israel. All of which has been proven previously, but you just keep bringing it up in a attempt to legitimise your lies.

I love your last lame attempt to distort the known truth.
- There is no apartheid in Israel. Every israeli citizen has the same constitutional rights.
To which we all (including yourself) know the answer, perhaps they do,.... but only on paper, like all Israeli Laws and agreements etc., it's not worth the paper it's written on, even moreso, if you are a non Jew and especially a Palestinian.
Israeli Law is no law at all, it is a mere illusion for the sake of their own convenience and used to seemingly "legitimise" their atrocities just as German laws legitimised the segregation of Jews and the ensuing Holocaust. The Zionists learnt well from their Nazi masters.

No Equal Legal Protection1,20- The Israeli courts – guided by the Supreme Court – have consistently decided that discrimination between Arabs and Jews is legitimate based on the founding principles of Israel as a state for the Jewish people; “nationality” is a legitimate basis for discrimination. In the State of Israel vs. Ashgoyev (1988), an Israeli settler was convicted by the Tel Aviv District Court of shooting a Palestinian child. His sentence was a suspended jail term of six months and community service. When challenged, the judge, Uri Shtruzman, said: “It is wrong to demand in the name of equality, equal bearing and equal sentences to two offenders who have different nationalities who break the laws of the State. The sentence that deters the one and his audience does not deter the other and his community.”
Bill on Admission Committees16,22 {2011} -This bill allows admission committees in 300 Jewish-majority communities to reject applicants for residency who do not meet vague "social suitability" criteria. The measure anchors in law a practice that has been the basis for unjustly rejecting applications by Palestinian Arabs. While Israeli planning authorities have established hundreds of Jewish towns and villages, Israel has not allowed Arab citizens to establish any new towns since 1948. Today Palestinian citizens of Israel are in practice blocked from purchasing or leasing land on around 80% of the land in Israel on the basis of their national belonging. 101 As a result, the vast majority of state land consists of segregated, Jewish-only areas. (Apartheid)
The crime of Apartheid is defined by the 2002 Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court as inhumane acts of a character similar to other crimes against humanity "committed in the context of an institutionalized regime of systematic oppression and domination by one racial group over any other racial group or groups and committed with the intention of maintaining that regime." Israel - Guilty.

You can quote "your facts" and tell outright lies until you are blue in the face, but the real fact remains, that none of what you state is backed up by what is seen and experienced by the remainder of the world on a daily basis.

I am only going to state these items...

My daughter serves in the I.D.F., SEVERAL of her fellow soldiers are Palestinian and have grown up in Israel.

I have a home in Israel, and my next door neighbors are Palestinians. We have a great friendship. They consider themselves Israeli citizens. They vote and are eligible to all of the rights of the state.
Their kids went to school with mine, and a lot of Jewish kids.

3 friends of mine have a store in Tel Aviv. They are 1 Palestinian, 1 Israeli Jew, and a Catholic immigrant from Italy.

So I don't know, I am not here to argue, but none of the prior mentioned have any use for any idea of changing back to Muslim rule, anywhere in Israel.

My neighbor lost a son to a PLO bomber. He still prays to Allah, but has no use for his fellow "Angry" Palestinians. He and his family live a good life. They have never been attacked by the IDF. He has tried to tell his story to the media. They will not acknowledge that there are a lot of Palestinians that live in peace side by side with Israeli Jews and Christians.

If anybody believes the area will be safer with out Israel ought to look at the way their fellow Muslims have treated them prior to 1948.
And the final thing, ALL 3 major religions hold that land dear. Prior to Israel being in control we could not go there. Now all three can travel there and freely visit their Holy Sites.
Israel, like all countries, have their faults. If the U.S. or Australia had to fall under the same litmus test, both would have to surrender their turf and immigrate back to Europe.
So unless we want to surrender what we have, we have no place ordering the Israeli government to do what we would not. The U.S. would not tolerate attacks from the Indian reservations. And Australia continues to keep themselves involved in Timor and other locations. To prevent attacks.

Virtually every point you have attempted to make here has already been covered, often, many times over. The result of which has always shown that Israel is an Illegitimate pariah state that if it were not for the support and Veto powers of the USA would have been gone 60 years ago.

I have a home in Israel, and my next door neighbors are Palestinians. We have a great friendship. They consider themselves Israeli citizens. They vote and are eligible to all of the rights of the state.
[/quote]But you carefully neglect to state that maybe they are "eligible",.... but are never the less treated as second or third class citizens. They are also "eligible" to be evicted from their homes at the whim if the government, the IDF or even those lovely "settlers" who operate outside of the law, tacitly encouraged by all levels of Israeli society and Government. Usually supported (protected) in their illegal activities by the IDF. Does your daughter enjoy harassing, beating and murdering innocent people who are guilty of no more than resisting the illegal occupation of their land?
So I don't know, I am not here to argue, but none of the prior mentioned have any use for any idea of changing back to Muslim rule, anywhere in Israel.
Of course, they are under no duress in this matter as a result of the over 30 discriminatory Israeli laws that deny them all but the most basic rights and even these are conditional on their "good behaviour" . If a German SS man were to ask an occupant of Bergen Belsen what he thought of the system ,..... use your imagination FFS. To ask for common sense would be too much.
Israel, like all countries, have their faults. If the U.S. or Australia had to fall under the same litmus test, both would have to surrender their turf and immigrate back to Europe.
Yes we have our faults, but at least it can be seen where we have made genuine attempts to remedy them. Australia started over 150 years ago giving our Aboriginals protection the likes of which no Palestinian is entitled to.

e.g. It was made a capital offence to murder an Aboriginal in 1832, (over 100 years before Israel was even proclaimed) the first perpetrators to suffer this fate being hung in 1838 after hiding out in the remote areas of Australia for nearly six years. remember, we had and still have many cattle stations, bigger than Israel, so it was not hard to do.

Each and every Aboriginal, man, woman and child is paid "Rent" for the use of their land, (about $42 I'm not sure if that is a week or a fortnight, last time I asked) a fact recognised and written into in Australian Law. On an average they receive 140% more basic monetary benefits than non Aboriginals. Not counting their "Rent" and such things as reimbursement for natural resources, free use of such services as the Flying Doctor and reduced restrictions on hunting and fishing of protected species.

Obviously you know nothing of this subject as you have completely ignored the fact that countries like USA and Australia (unlike Israel) were colonised in "The Age of Discovery" 15th - 17 centuries when there were no International laws or conventions forbidding it. (Google it).

The official representatives of our Aboriginals are far smarter than you would think, knowing full well that if "We"the English colonisers, were to leave, within a month they would be under Indonesian or Chinese Rule and then they would really have something to complain about, like the poor bloody natives of West Papua
So unless we want to surrender what we have, we have no place ordering the Israeli government to do what we would not. The U.S. would not tolerate attacks from the Indian reservations. And Australia continues to keep themselves involved in Timor and other locations. To prevent attacks.
No one is asking you to "surrender", just give them back their land and possessions, how you manage that is up to you, you should have thought of that before you stole their land. The fact that you deliberately flooded illegal immigrants into their already fully occupied land is not their fault or mine.

Well then if by Australia's numbers, Israel should get another 70 years or so before they have to start paying reparations. Then lets see, if it weren't for the U.S. and their assistance to The Crown 39-45, Australia would be Japanese territory. So if the U.S. can sacrifice it's soldiers to help save the British Empire, then I think she can and has earned the right to VETO anything they so desire.

People can argue all they want, I do not think you will get them to leave. You can support the Terrorists that will attack Israel, the U.S., or anybody else for that matter. That is the burden of reality.

And you can deride my daughter all you want. She can handle herself. I am sure her Palestinian friends would not have a problem cutting someones throat for her. And there is no doubt, that you would not ever say that to her face or mine.

So with that said, I pray that you have a nice day. And if you want, I have a Austrian Blue Cover of Mein Kamph. I also have it in Arabic if that will help. I would be happy to sell them to you. I have a couple copies of the Quran that I will throw in for you. Just pay the extra shipping and handling.

Australia' attitudes changed as world opinion changed, or only very little after it, we also abided by the findings of the UN and ICJ, and also we asked rather than waiting to be told, as to the expected legal status of our native population, something that Israel has never done except in the form of tokenism (and even then they have usually abandoned any pretense soon after).
You can stop patting yourself on the back, as far as "Saving the British Empire", the US never sacrificed anything for anyone except itself, they never got into WWI until the last 12 months, after all the major sacrifices had been made, and then only so they could get a seat at Versailles and help divvy up the spoils,.... and they would probably never have got involved in the fighting of WWII had the Nips not attacked Pearl Harbour, and you forget that Australia's miniscule Army had already turned the Japs around at Kokoda and chased them back to the northern coast before the US even became really involved.

Some of you Redneck Yanks are really something else. Thank fcuk, there are many with a conscience and some sense of honour.

People can argue all they want, I do not think you will get them to leave. You can support the Terrorists that will attack Israel, the U.S., or anybody else for that matter. That is the burden of reality.
A weird Zionazi propaganda "reality". There is no comparison between a fighter who defends that which is rightfully theirs and one who attacks a nation because they disagree with their foreign policy (as fcuked up as it is). Defending what is rightfully yours against an occupying army is not Terrorism any more than the Allies were Terrorists against the Nazis. Yes I know Hitler did use the same term, and it appears that it wasn't all that the Zionazis learned off their mentors.

The only bright spot on the horizon is that it appears the US is waking up to the fact that Israel detests them for all except their money, military might and power of Veto in the UN. As a result of which Israel is gradually losing it's preferred status, and the US and others are becoming more eager to talk with the Iranians. Should this proceed, I see "interesting times" for you and your pariah state in the next 10 - 15 years.

I attempted to read an English translation of the Qu'ran once but found like all religious books it is no more than the gibberish of man trying for a "one size fit's all" answer to their own insecurities, very similar to the same insecurities I see in your writings. Mein Kamf was along the same lines dealing with Hitler's insecurity, and it's easy to see why you would have copies of it.

Wow I hope the rest of your post shows more factual accuracy than the first paragraph, it is almost as accurate as me claiming that if it weren't for the French you would be part of the Commonwealth, still it is the highly thought out mechanisms of the UN that allow the Chinese and Russians to VETO anything they like as well and I am pleased you support that.

Clearly you have never dealt with Aussies or Kiwi's before as there is nothing we won't say to your face or her's should it require saying, political correctness and diplomacy probably could be described as "not our strong points", also you may want to get together with VD as he has spent the last 158 pages trying to convince us that Palestinians don't exist so either he is lying or your daughter is delusional and has imaginary friends.

1) Praying wont help.
2) What is on the cover of your version of Mein Kampf?
3) Don't need a Qur'an as I already have one, it is in the fiction section of my library next to the Bible and any other religious dogma I may have collected over the years.

NEW YORK – The 5,000-member American Studies Association (ASA), which describes itself as “the nation’s oldest and largest association devoted to the interdisciplinary study of American culture and history,” announced on Monday that it had endorsed and would participate in a boycott of Israeli universities and academic institutions.

It is the second educational group in the US to adopt the boycott. The Association for Asian American Studies did so in April. Another academic group, the American Association of University Professors, recently reiterated its opposition.

In all, 1,252 members of the ASA participated in the vote on whether or not to endorse the boycott. Approximately 66 percent voted yes, 30% voted no and 3% abstained. The voting began on December 4 and ended on Sunday.
The membership-wide canvass was unprecedented. It was undertaken in part at the behest of boycott opponents who said at the ASA’s annual conference last month in Washington that the matter was too sensitive to leave to the group’s 20-member national council, which had unanimously endorsed a boycott.

“The National Council engaged and addressed questions and concerns of the membership throughout the process,” the ASA statement said.
“During the open discussion at the recent convention, members asked us to draft a resolution that was relevant to the ASA in particular and so the Council’s final resolution acknowledged that the US plays a significant role in enabling the Israeli occupation of Palestine.”
The final resolution, which applies to the ASA as an organization, is not binding on its members. It also targets institutions, not individuals.
In Monday’s announcement, the ASA said it would still invite Israeli and Palestinian academics to its 2014 national meeting in Los Angeles.
Jewish groups in the US reacted strongly and immediately to the announcement.
The boycott was a “shameful, morally bankrupt and intellectually dishonest attack on academic freedom,” said Abraham H. Foxman, national director of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), in a statement.
“Targeting Israeli institutions solely because they are in Israel – the only democratic country in the Middle East, where scholarship and debate are encouraged and flourish – is based on a myopic and fundamentally distorted perspective of Israel and the conflict and is manifestly unjust,” Foxman went on. “We commend those members of the ASA who boldly spoke out and voted against this shameful resolution.”

Kenneth Stern, the American Jewish Committee’s director for issues of anti-Semitism and extremism, called it “blatant discrimination against Israelis.”
“Academic freedom is based on the principle that human civilization benefits from the free flow of ideas and knowledge,” Stern said in an AJC statement. “This resolution – ghettoizing knowledge simply because it is tied to Israeli academic institutions – violates the core principles of the academy.”
Ronald S. Lauder, president of the World Jewish Congress, had similar words for the ASA , saying that it was actions like this that caused “many Americans [to] dismiss the academy as deeply biased and disconnected with reality.”

On the other side of the spectrum, the California-based Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) issued a statement supporting the boycott, saying it represented a “significant milestone in the growth of the BDS (boycott, divestment and sanctions) movement in the United States.”
“With its endorsement, the members of the ASA have voted to hold Israeli institutions accountable for their participation in human rights violations, bringing into sharp focus Israeli policies that severely limit the academic freedom of Palestinians within the occupied Palestinian territory and inside Israel,” JVP said.
“While Jewish Voice for Peace takes no position on academic boycotts, we do not believe that boycotts to pressure Israel to abide by international law are inherently anti-Semitic.”
The group Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) also gave its “unqualified endorsement” of the boycott, saying the resolution would “move us one small step closer to a world of democracy, freedom, and justice.”
The ADL included the two groups on the list it compiled this year of the 10 most anti-Semitic organizations in the United States.

I attended a sort of military school in Israel. I don't remember much of it but for me it was not so bad. It was tediously depressing. I rememeber seeing a little boy with no teeth at all, as well as packs of wild dogs circling the school. I also remember there being an abadoned parking lot beside it. It was really creepy.
