"With both hands" Issa Kostoev supports a new law accepted recently by local parliament in Arkhangelsk oblast, that forbids "any public events, that engage in propagation and promotion of homosexualism" [that is the wording of the law, guys, I have to write it this way].

"I believe, that the undertaking of so-called gay-parades, gay-marches, gay-meetings inevitably will lead to a moral decay of our society and a wide spread of transmittable deceases", - says the senator in an interview with REGIONS.RU/"Новости Федерации", calling for "a total ban, on the Federal level, of homosexualist propaganda and the restatement of criminal punishment for 'muzhelozhstvo' ('sodomy', man on man sex) [in Tsarist Russia - punishable by death; in the Soviet Union - life in prison camp], if the gays and lesbians won't know their place". "Once, in the name of so-called Western Democracy, which brings but sin and debauchery, we foolishly removed that article from the Russian Criminal Code, and now suffer from an аctive invasion of homosexualists!" [This is serious, senator's words, I translated word per word, or tried my best to anyway], - the senator says angrily. With this, Коstoev offers to imagine a situation, where, for example, those who enjoy sex with animals also will deamdn to have their own "beast-parade". "How far will it go, that to please that same 'democratic' European Council, so as not to infringe upon 'human rights', we will have to but watch those who, once, were arrested under the article "Animal Sodomy", parade with their "partners" - cows, donkeys, horses, upon our beautiful Red Square!", - notes Issa Коstoev, insistently advising those in power, in making such decisions, to take into consideration the common national characteristsics of the people of Russia, the overwhelming majority of whom, according to Kostoev are "disgusted by homosexualism".

Parliament of Arkhagelsk oblast on 30 June accepted a law, the first so far in Russia, prohibiting carrying out of public events or actions, that are aimed at propagating or promoting homosexualism, [or any other 'sexual perverions'].
