There was a video several years ago of some eastern types all sitting around when a rather large python makes his appearance, the nearest bloke fainted the others nearly trampled one another to death getting away.

I must admit I'm not fond of snakes either. From what the farmer was heard to say, he thought he had killed the bloke.
