MOSUL, Iraq, Sept 6, 2006 (AFP) - Insurgents killed six policemen from the
Iraqi border force and wounded another six on Wednesday in a car bomb attack
on their patrol near the northern city of Mosul, police said.

The attack occurred near the town of Sinjar, 100 kilometres (63 miles)
northwest of Mosul near the Syrian border, police said.

In another incident in Mosul, police recovered two bodies of men belonging
to the Yezidi sect -- a minority religion among the region's Kurdish
population -- shot in their heads and chests, police added.
