Single Fathers in the Armed Forces?

I'm currently writing an article on single fathers in the military and need help finding fathers to profile for the piece.

About me: I'm a student at Columbia's Journalism School and working on a magazine piece on the subject.

My wife left my and out two sons (age 7 and 5) in 1985. I went on to complete my career and retire from the Army.
I found that while the Army had many provisions for female sole parents they were not very responsive to male soldiers, especially of the Sr. Ranks.
