Sorry what? That's news to me. Can you elaborate on that.

It's because of US government interference and meddling in these countries that the migrants are heading to Europe and the UK.

Contrary to what Trump and his sidekicks say, not every Muslim is a terrorist.

I'm comfortable knowing that I live in a country where the chances of myself or any my family being massacred by a crazy gunman is virtually zero.

Isn't your Trump government tyrannical?

Having used military semi automatic assault rifles while serving in the military, I struggle to see why any civilian needs one or indeed finds any use for one.

I'm glad you admit a 100 round mag isn't needed. But you don't want to see them banned. The majority of your massacres have involved the use of assault rifles because they can inflict the most amount of suffering in a very short time.
"The Brit's saw sense and implemented sensible gun controls that, on the whole work very well." Actually they used extremely minor events to erase guns, nothing really common sense unless you call total disarmament common sense. "Isn't your Trump government tyrannical? " Only in the minds of the Leftists."military semi automatic assault rifles while serving in the military" Seems like a conflict in terms, real military assault rifles or selective fire or full auto & use the open bolt system. Civilian semi autos use the closed bolt system. The AR style rifles dominate competitive rifle competitions all over the country."The majority of your massacres have involved the use of assault rifles because they can inflict the most amount of suffering in a very short time." well when you have the Media screaming to kids that they can get famous by getting an AR & shooting up a school, what do you expect. AKs only became wide spread in drive bys after anti-gunners like Chuck Schumer put the word out on the Media.

Again you admit there's a problem but there seems to be no desire to prevent it. What a very odd way of thinking.

George, you have a really screwed up perception of a democratic elected government if you use Venezuela as an example. But with your electoral system its quite understandable why you think like that. The slave owners you call founding fathers lived in a different context and the world have moved on, but most Americans have not.

Brinktk, I find it odd you view refugees like how you do. The majority of your ancestors were immigrants and refugees. They brought their traditions and cultures (religions) to
your melting pot which I admire so much in the US when I have been traveling around in your country and met amazing people.

I criticize your gun legislation, not the US. The stupidest thing the US has ever done must be the prohibition. People like to drink and when you had the melting pot of immigrants from Germany, France, Scandinavia, the limeys, and from all other parts of the world.

"George, you have a really screwed up perception of a democratic elected government if you use Venezuela as an example. But with your electoral system its quite understandable why you think like that." Hugo Chaves was originally elected to Office "The slave owners you call founding fathers lived in a different context and the world have moved on, but most Americans have not." People of the past shouldn't be judged by modern standards. slavery had existed since the beginning of human history. The British had only abolished White Slavery 20 years before the Revolution. While a big % of the FF owned slaves it's ridiculous to try to smear their advancement of people in general that was accomplished with the founding of this country by calling them slave owners. no one today wants slavery in the US, except the radical Moslems here who say if they out breed the infidels & gain majority status they'll repeal the Constitution & make slavery legal for moslems to own. "Brinktk, I find it odd you view refugees like how you do. The majority of your ancestors were immigrants and refugees. They brought their traditions and cultures (religions) to

"The Great American Melting Pot" is a target of the Liberals. They want to balkanize the country. Divide us into hyphenated Americans fighting over the spoils of the Welfare state they are creating. Using "diversity" to emphasize the importance of where they are from and not where they are. "The stupidest thing the US has ever done must be the prohibition." Originally the Constitution guaranteed freedoms of the people or restrictions on Govt. Prohibition was the 1st use of the Constitution to limit the freedom of the people. The FF would be appalled at the scope & power of the Govt. today.

Or tighten up access to legally held firearms? Put proper controls in place to ensure kids can't arm themselves with a family members weapons?

Probably every State has such Laws. But then people leave guns in unlocked cars......

In the UK, if you don't securely store your firearm then you lose your firearms licence and cannot posses any firearms.

Actually only 11 states have laws concerning firearm locking devices. Massachusetts is the only state that generally requires that all firearms be stored with a lock in place.

A report published by the US Secret Service and the Dept. of Education found that in 65% of school shootings covered by the study, the shooter used a gun obtained from his or her own home or from the home of a relative. But your answer is not to make sure weapons are properly secured, but instead arm school staff. Really?

In a perfect world guns would be for hunting, target shooting & collecting, but defense is high priority & the well secured gun tends to be of no use because it takes too long to get to in an emergency. Mass. has strong gun control, Vermont next door has carry w/o a permit. Which State would a criminal be better off breaking into a house?

You're completely missing the point.

Mass. has some of the strictest firearms laws and amazingly it comes bottom for firearms deaths. Is that just a coincidence?

Property crime in Mass. has also been falling even with all those locked away firearms. Is that also another coincidence?
