Brinktk, I find it odd you view refugees like how you do. The majority of your ancestors were immigrants and refugees. They brought their traditions and cultures (religions) to
your melting pot which I admire so much in the US when I have been traveling around in your country and met amazing people.
I criticize your gun legislation, not the US. The stupidest thing the US has ever done must be the prohibition. People like to drink and when you had the melting pot of immigrants from Germany, France, Scandinavia, the limeys, and from all other parts of the world.

"George, you have a really screwed up perception of a democratic elected government if you use Venezuela as an example. Hugo Chaves was originally elected to Office "The slave owners you call founding fathers lived in a different context and the world have moved on, but most Americans have not." People of the past shouldn't be judged by modern standards. slavery had existed since the beginning of human history. The British had only abolished White Slavery 20 years before the Revolution. While a big % of the FF owned slaves it's ridiculous to try to smear their advancement of people in general that was accomplished with the founding of this country by calling them slave owners. no one today wants slavery in the US, except the radical Moslems here who say if they out breed the infidels & gain majority status they'll repeal the Constitution & make slavery legal for moslems to own. "The Great American Melting Pot" is a target of the Liberals. They want to balkanize the country. Divide us into hyphenated Americans fighting over the spoils of the Welfare state they are creating. Using "diversity" to emphasize the importance of where they are from and not where they are. "The stupidest thing the US has ever done must be the prohibition." Originally the Constitution guaranteed freedoms of the people or restrictions on Govt. Prohibition was the 1st use of the Constitution to limit the freedom of the people. The FF would be appalled at the scope & power of the Govt. today.
