DIWANIYAH, Iraq, Aug 28, 2006 (AFP) - Shiite militiamen killed at least 19
Iraqi soldiers in two days of fighting that also left seven civilians dead,
the health director in this central Iraqi town said Monday.
Hamid Jaathi told AFP that Diwaniyah's hospitals had also received 43 people
wounded in the clashes, including five soldiers, and that an unknown number
of militiamen were also thought to have been killed.
