A Canadian man was sentenced yesterday to more than six years in prison for his role in a $3.7 million scheme to sell defective military parts to the Defense Department.
Prosecutors said Gregory Allen Stewart, 30, of Allenford, Ontario, conspired with others in the United States and abroad to sell the parts, which included valve stems for Navy ships, valves for submarines and circuits for search and recovery helicopters. He was sentenced to six years and three months in prison after pleading guilty in U.S. District Court in Richmond.
