Small Obit, A great American has passed.
Senator Dan Inouye D-HI passed away unexpectedly today, he was 88 years old.
Aside from his 22 years in the US Senate, Lieutenant Dan Inouye was also a recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions in Italy 1943 when he led 22 other Japanese-American GIs in storming 3 German Machine Gun nests, Senator Inouye was successful but lost his right arm in that engagement.
His last words were 'Aloha'.
I must say I admire Senator Inouye, who loved his country at a time when most of country didn't love him due to the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbour. Yet, despite the the racial prejudice he immediately enlisted and his service to his country in WWII which came a tremendous personal cost. He continued to serve later in life, representing his home state of Hawaii.
