sbs stands for special boat squadron (not service) - common mistake but they get quite irate about it

sas unofficial moto is - 'kill them all - let god sort them out'

SBS stands for Special Boat Service, not Special Boat Squadron... the name was changed in 1987... sorry buddy.

Correct.

1942 'D' Squadron SAS, subsequently retitled Special Boat Squadron; as such they adopted the cap badge and beret of the SAS.

1977 The SBS changed its name to Special Boat Squadron.

1987: The SBS changed its name to Special Boat Service

SBS also played a part in the 1980 Iranian Embassy siege.
