AP - Global health authorities warned Wednesday that swine flu was threatening to bloom into a pandemic, and the virus spread farther in Europe even as the outbreak appeared to stabilize at its epicenter. A toddler who succumbed in Texas became the first death outside Mexico.

Eventhough ALL flu is serious, the media always seems to freak people out, exaggerate, and throw things out of context...yes the infant died its heartbreaking, but unfortunatly he got infected on their family trip to Mexico last week, and the flu all flu is severe in infants and elderly...so its not so much that the swine flu is deadly...its every kind of flu there is.
