RUSSIA SOVIET UNION CCCP 100th ANNIVERSARY BIRTH OF LENIN MEDAL WITH ORIGINAL DOCUMENT
An interesting addition to any Soviet Medal Collection. Established 5 November 1969. Awarded only once, during the days of celebrating of the 100th Anniversary of Lenin's birth in April 1970 in Moscow. There are three variations, one for advanced workers and economic specialists, which has the wording "For Heroic Labor. In Honor of the 100th Anniversary of V.I. Lenin 's Birthday". Another for individuals who took an active part in the struggle for the establishment of Soviet power or in defense of the Motherland, which has the wording "For Military Valor. In Honor of the 100th Anniversary of V.I. Lenin's Birthday" and for representatives of foreign delegations of the International Communist Workers movement, which is worded only "In Honor of the 100th Anniversary of V.I. Lenin's Birthday". All are made of brass. Approximately 11,000,000 were issued, of these 9 million to workers, 2 million to military servicemen and 5000 to members of foreign delegation.
