Red Phoenix

Great stuff, I'm a sucker for this kind of fiction. I think that Red Storm rising is Clancy's best work, have you read the Ten Thousand, nice easy read, and a fantastic story.

I'm currently delving in to Wellington, The Years of the Sword, back to fiction next.

I guess it hits home more than Red Storm Rising for me because the areas in which they describe are places I know. I've driven across the bridge mentioned in the book and I've seen the hill that the infantry lieutenant "defended."

That I can understand, probably why the fighting across Germany is so personal to me, having walked a lot of the ground.
