So honestly how many of ya'll got reamed by your recruiter? Now that i am actually in the Military i hear person after person saying how they got screwed? so lets hear about them! me personally i had everything that i wanted on paper and i got a copy for myself so everything with me was fine. but others have gotten sandbagged on promotions and bonuses and even pay.

I voted no. I got what was in my contract. That being said. If you don't get it on paper then you've been got.

i didnt get talked to by a recruiter (im still 15....) but with both of my brothers, both recruiters wrote everything down, and if either brother had a problem, they got it solved one way or another,, but even still, neither of them joined, but iv talked to several recruiters, and i couldnt see them doing that after all the things theyv done for carious members of my family

yeah that is pretty much how my Recruiter did but from what i can tell teh recruiters that are in the north east around new york will screw you over in a heart beat. now i know this is a generalation but for the most part it sounds true. and another thing is that Recruiters don't do a background check and when the civilians got on the island for boot camp and got a background check done they were up the creek.

I don't know what you are complaining about. My recuiter sent me a letter. The letter said somthing like this:

In accordance with the 7 article of the Security Services law.....(Insert leagal BS...You have been found capable of military service....(Insert BS)...You must report to...(Insert location and time)...Incopliance with this order is a fellony according to....(Leagal BS)...

So you see, it could be much worse for you...:)

Had the same kind of notice, but for the Military test (only seen fit if you score good on tests which is about 1 day long)

We ware met by the police at the bus checking us off on a list, if you warn't there you would be picked up by the police and taken straigt to jail

Think there was atleast one missing, but i dont remember was around 2,5 years ago

I did not get screwed over. My recruiter was pretty truthful about everything

One of my soldiers in my old unit said his recruiter gave him the idea that he was signing up to be a fire fighter. He learned real quick that 13f fire support specialist meant calling in artillery fire. I still get a kick out of that one.
