Recon Platoon at Boot Camp?

I heard there was a Recon Training Platoon at Boot Camp, it gets your ready for Recon Training, is this true? Or is this only at SOI? I thought the Indoc was only at SOI. If there is a Recon Training Platoon in boot camp, what do they do extra? More PT?
