E18 is one of the real bottlenecks when it comes to traffic in Norway. The distance through the county of Vestfold is designed for 18000 vehicles a day - but on the worst days the average number of vehicles can be as high as 35000 - bottleneck and :cen: ques? Alrighty then....
So, by using the autopass chip technology, a few receivers and transmittors along the road; drivers and logistics companies have an up to date realtime indicator on the traffic situation and can easily redirect their cargo carriers to alternative routes.
It doesn't look good but it is very useful. Green is "no delay", yellow is "some delay" and red? Well your boots are made for walking....
I use this service every day as I drive up and down this road and I like it, check it out....
