Except for one problem- at the end they talk about the United Nations. I thought the UN started around '47 or '48?


The first steps toward the United Nations which lead up to the conference in San Francisco started in August-October 1944 at Dumbarton Oaks, even if the term "United Nations" was used in January 1942 by President Roosevelt. The conference in San Francisco occurred between April-June 1945

It is interesting how representatives from about 50 countries were able to create and agree upon the UN Charters between August-October 1944 and how these countries were able to sign and ratify the Charters between April-June 1945 in San Francisco. They feared a repeat of the world war and they changed a lot, only because they wanted to do so. Today?...Well...hmmm.....
