I believe the Royal Marines are referred to as being "elite", which is understandable.

Copied directly from the Royal Navy website:

"The UKís elite amphibious fighting force. The team thatís on the most dangerous operations, all over the world. The one with the endless reach. These are the Royal Marines.

Royal Marines personify courage, selflessness and positivity in the face of any challenge. Ready to deploy anywhere, in all conditions by land, sea or air, on the frontline of combat and humanitarian aid operations.

Being in the Royal Marines is a state of mind: one thatís projected by the famous green beret, and protected by a unique camaraderie and unity."
