I was thinking about how I remember a certain phrase by US Presidents that seems to stick with me. There certainly more speeches and faux pas in each administration but people always remember one that stands out. Without doing a Google on each one for quotes, does anyone remember such as Johnson saying "if chosen, I will not run, if elected I will not serve"? FDR's "a date that will live in infamy". Reagan's, "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall" and (Chuckle)"well there you go again" in the debate with Carter. Pres. Clinton, "it depends on what the word is is". Also "I did not have sex with that woman, Monica Lewinsky."
I don't mean to reserve this for just US leaders. Anyone who remembers something their leaders said, feel free to add it.
