Serbia's newly re-elected president, Boris Tadic, pledged at his inauguration Friday that he would never stop fighting to hold onto Kosovo, which is expected to unilaterally declare independence within days. Meanwhile, Russia suggested that a break by the Western-backed province could affect its policy on two separatist regions in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia--a move that could lead to war with Georgia's pro-Western government.
