Yeah mate...

Yeah the red flags are really cool, nice to see that they had a good sense of how a flag should look like.

I prayed to God that George Bush was a good president. Because a good president normally means good things for the country he leads. I disagree with conservatives on a lot of issues, and that is why I voted for Barack Obama. If John McCain had won the election, I would have prayed that he proved the statistics of voting with GWB "over 90% of the time" wrong. I would have prayed that he was successful in his attempts to pull the USA out of the economic situation. I did not "deride" the right. I "derided" the president at the time. If George Bush had done a half-way decent job with this country, I wouldn't be so vehement in my remarks about him. The simple fact of the matter is that George Bush Jr. was NOT a good president, and while I will still show him respect, I will NOT sugarcoat my feelings towards his policies and the way he ran this country.

I wouldn't come anywhere near you with a 10 foot pole, let alone "fark" you.

Marsh you are correct. I did misread the two bit thug reference my apologies.
Well, if I recall someone was all about conformity to the majority a few years back, then came the 2006 elections and it was suddenly all about reaching across the aisle...

Hypocrisy, it's everywhere.

Woah too much praying there.

Agree with the last bit though,

Dear Friends,

forgive me for what I must say: I don't like how this "conversation" is going and, above all, WHERE IT IS GOING.

If I remember well, the title of this thread is "Is President Obama a clone of President Jimmy Carter?"

Policy and politics were born to link people together, not to divide them. That's why I wrote my opinion: I'd like to thank mmarsh Sir, senojekips Sir, Wolfen Sir and everybody who liked to confront their opinions with mine.

Now, I'm reading words I don't like and, mostly, this tone of despise that I really can't stand.
I'm not the forum moderator here (03USMC Sir, no disrespect intended) but, with all due respect, I'd like to give a good piece of advice to those who need it: cool down.

I wish everybody a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Italy.

before redleg locks this thread I have only four tings to say
(1) Alex, Merry Christmas, and Happy new Year
(2) Rattlr, Merry Christmas and Happy new year
(3) everybody else, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
(4) Rob, Keep preying, but Obama can't solve this economic situation in 4 years unless he goes back in time to the 70's and stops what they did back then that started all this, all he can do is hope people start having faith in the financial institutions again.
but if it doesn't happen on his watch that in itself does not make him a bad president.

No misspelled words according to my spellchecker

Both parties in the US are bought and paid for by the corporations. You just get to vote every four years for your rapist.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you, as well, wolfen.

Trust me, I know he can't; and I know it doesn't make him a bad president because he can't... Some people just don't realize that.

Really? You prayed? Guess privately as it should be. All I remember was 3 years of you bitching and moaning about Bush and questioning policy.....What comes around goes around Sugar. so suck it up like the right did and take freakin lumps.

According to you and marsh and TOG I got at least 8 years of the Chicago politics coming to me. If we don't get invaded and conquered by El Salvador...which might happen given current policy and leaders. i'll wait and see..ain't gonna slack jaw fawn and lust after the Dear Leader and his plans.
