Preparing for basic training?

I can tell you straight off, as an Army Cadet I can do 50, you should aim for a good 50 pushups. You should aim for 70 situps in one minute. Be a very good runner (run everyday, sprint a little, run, spring a little, keep running).

Also, what basic are you going too? If it's American whats your MOS? If it's Canadian and you tell me your trade I could help you out a lot more.

First you should look up the physical fitness requirements and exceed them, next you should study the Ranks and General knowledge. Do those things and the Instructors will do the rest.

be able to do more excerise than they want you to be bale to do, get in the best physical condition you can, the best mental condition you can, get the most education you can before you go, and most important, be totally prepared for long hours, crappy food(unless its changed since I went) And never falter in what you believe in.
