The Council of Minister officially moved yesterdays for the Polish deployment in Afghanistan to be increased.
The President will okay the motion. The deployment in Ghazni province, currently counting 1,600 troops, will now grow to 2,000, of which some 1,200 will be combat troops. The government also wants to create a 'strategic reserve' at home, that is, 200 troops ready to be deployed to Afghanistan on a short notice. The fifth, enlarged round of Polish troops will start flying to Afghanistan in early April.
