Polish Army Photos

I prefer Aimpoint because they're lighter and I'm more familiar with them. Never used an EOTech though. Sort of weird seeing an AK with an American attachment. Especially EOTechs or any of those "fancy" reticle sights.

New Polish Light Tank Concept and a New Family of Vehicles
By January 2010 Polish defense company started to cut the first pieces of steel for a demonstrator of technology of a new light tank.
This will be shown at the MSPO Defense Fair in Kielce this year.
The light tank is supposed to be the first of a whole new family of vehicles.

In January 2010 Gliwice OBRUM began cutting steel with a rise of technology demonstrator Polish universal tracked combat vehicle twenty-first century.
A car on his own to enter the exhibition MSPO 2010 in Kielce, Poland (6-9 September).

The latest, for the first time publicly, drawing design technology demonstrator platform Polish battle twenty-first century / Drawings: OBRUM

Task, which takes away the Research and Development Center Mechanical Equipment OBRUM (Polish light tank) is a big challenge, given that the amount made available through the center of the project targeted the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, only 17.1 million zł. OBRUM - Polish center of modern armor project - is and will remain (even after inclusion of Bumar Group) the most experienced creator of medium and heavy armored combat platforms. It is worth recalling that Gliwiczanie have in your account, inter alia, wolf tank design, which gave rise to the PT-91 and its variant malezyjskiemu, unrealized concept of Polish basic tank Gorilla, technology demonstrator BWP-2000 (using vehicle SUM - Kalina), or self-propelled howitzer chassis to the crab, whose production was launched at the Center Production Military Huta Stalowa Wola.

Universal Platform Polish Army fighting twenty-first century, which, thanks to modular architecture can be a light tank, wagon support, diagnosis, or tracked IFV, with removable, suited to user requirements, propulsion systems, surveillance and combat - fits perfectly into the overall concept of the leading mainstream countries around the world (variants of the German Puma D, Scandinavian CV 90, or even part of the Israeli Merkavy). After a period of great enthusiasm for cars and light fever initiated by the U.S. project future armored combat vehicles (FCS program has alleged) weighing initially estimated at only 18 tons, then raised to 20 tons, so that could be smuggled aboard a C-130 Hercules, it turned out that a blind alley. The conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan have proven that without a solid security przeciwminowego this construction, which implies a mass of at least 30 tonnes, it has no chances to ensure the safety crew.

In constructing the Polish Battle future platform weighing over 33 tons and dimensions to allow it to air transport on board the new European A400M, involving a consortium of Polish companies led OBRUM. These include Casper (electromagnetic and system integration, Fonet) TELDAT (tactical guidance system), Radmor (stations) and PCO (optoelectronic systems). We already know that will be used for caterpillars and German Diehl MTU powerpack (similar to that used in the Pumi Bundeswehr), and light cannon caliber of 120 mm Swiss RUAG. This does not preclude the use of the optional (at customer's request) optoelectronics Zeiss.

OBRUM designers assume that their vehicle should be equipped with an active system of self-defense against an attacker and it głowicom mortars and ppk. It is not impossible that this will be the first in the history of Polish car battle specially designed for integration with just such a solution. One of the systems under consideration will be Rafael Trophy.

There is growing interest in Polish Defense Gliwice demonstrator platform battle twenty-first century. To such an extent that even talk about whether to set up another program in the modernization of the Armed Forces of the period 2009-2018, focused on its development. While the rate of return will be maintained of the Polish economy, and thus government finances to the state przedkryzysowej normality.

Looks like the Polezs are ditching the Kalashnikov. Good for them. Both rifles need to be streamlined and a better rail system needs to be designed. But looks like it might be a Stoner AR-18 gas system under the hood.

Most probably the majority of Polish frontline photos captured by the Germans / Soviets. But - fortunately - at least some of them were developed. In many cases probably we don't even know that a particular photo from the Polish Campaign which we found in some German or Soviet source and we are looking at, was in fact taken by the Poles.

Thanks
