Gary is serving in Iraq while his young wife is fighting cancer here. See
his request below.

Bobby S. Briggs, MSgt, USAF

BAGHDAD AB , IRAQ

My name is Gary Hogman. Some of you receiving this know me, some do
not. My wife, Cindy, is 32 years old and has just been diagnosed with stage
4 cervical cancer and her chances for survival are very slim. She was
pregnant with our second child and had miscarried recently at 3 months, and
now we know why. This is a request for you to forward this e-mail to
everyone you know asking for prayer. The more people that pray for her to be
healed, the better. Pray and forward. It only takes a second to hit
'forward'. Please do it and don't delete this, your prayer can, and perhaps
will, save her life. Please pray and ask everyone you know to pray for the
HEALING of Cindy and the removal of all cancer in her body, so she may enjoy
all that life has to offer, and to continue to be the wonderful mother to our
5-year-old son Michael. The power of Prayer is unsurpassed. I want the whole
world to have her in their prayers the next few weeks. God will hear our
cry. Please do not be offended by my plea.. This is only a request for your
help.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading this and helping
with our request for healing! No words can express the power we have when we
each do a little to come together.

Regards, Cindy's husband - Gary

Thank you, and please send it to the far reaches of our world

In my thoughts.

While I may be an athiest, I wish you the best of luck for hopefully finding a cure, and if worst comes to worst, I wish you the best for your final moments with her. Treasure every moment with her, and stay strong when death claims her.

Whether you choose to remain single after she dies or find a new wife, I wish you the best in your endeavors.

I too hope Garys prayers are answered.
I don´t know the man personally. I know he serves his country while his world is crumbeling down around him.
Once in a while, not often, but once in a while, good people catch a break.

I can say I for one hope this is one of those times.

I did what I could and forwarded this message as I recieved it.
Hold hard Msgt.

Perhaps lady luck will smile upon them and she'll beat the cancer. It has happened before, in fact I recall reading in an article of times magazine that there was a man who had cancer multiple times, and his immune system defeated each and every one of them.

Hey...I went onto Facebook because I was going to see if there was a group to join (and that way you can send it around to friend's as a prayer group), and this is a link that was put on the Facebook group site.

ETA: "This is a chain that's been traveling around the Internet for a while. This woman has thankfully been in remission since 2002." [Quote taken from a post on the Facebook group site.]

Prayers on the way for Cindy Hogman & Gary. I for one know the power of prayer because I felt my whole church praying for me an Ash Wednesday when I was on death's bed with a heart attack. I'm fine now & was released from the hospital the Thursday after (one day!) with a stent implaced to clear the blockage by a Christian Doc who along with his crew prayed for me before the procedure according to the hospital Chaplain. I felt the hand of the Lord on me while I was being transported by the Paramedics & I really didn't care whether I made it or not.

Remission or not there is always a chance of recurrence. My Mom was clear for about 6 years then got it back & it eventually killed her.

That,s what you get for not factchecking stuff on the internet.
I am glad his wife seems to have made it through the worst though.

I was somewhat suspicious the instant I saw it was a forwarded message. Snopes.com has taugh me to never trust them.

Just read the Snopes on this. Looks like all is well, at least according to their latest update.

Maybe it's outdated, but hell, who doesn't need prayers? If you pray, go on and toss her in your prayers for good measure, I'm sure they wouldn't mind. :)

Sucks about the lady in Canada getting all of the calls, though.

Good looking out, KJ!
