I think most of us do realize that for the crises that are in many places in Africa foreign governments don't do a whole lot, but for that matter not many have helping troubled third world countries as one of their primary mission statements. As for the UN, that's how they get their donation money. It's like Africa's this great money machine for the UN or something.

I do believe that there is more the UN could do in Africa, but then again, I believe that there's more the UN could do in a lot of situations... Roosevelt's intentions were good, but honestly I don't think the UN does too much as far as action goes... Great for international chatting, but beyond that... It's kinda useless..
