Pearl Harbour one more lie?????
As far as code breaking goes yes the code that was used by the IJN could be read, but not in real time. It had to be decrypted and translated it was not a five minute type of process.

agree with that, but plan for pearl harbor atack was not made 5 minute before the atack.

Not the Radar that was in operation and use in 1941. Short Range and primitive. And the Pacific is a BIG Ocean. The Radar at Cardinal Point was Anti Air Radar. They did pick up the first flight of IJN aircraft. It was misindentified as an expected flight of B17's.

Correct, it was a surprise attack that should have been detected, but was not detected.

There were many surprise attacks during WWII, and there was often ignored intelligence. While the Generals partied in Paris, men were attempting to get them to realize tanks were rumbling in the woods.

It will never end. Warnings, even in our high-tech present, get ignored. There's a recent example.

The conspiracy theories were written by foes of FDR, and they should not be confused with fully vetted history. They are mostly political, not historical.

There are two very interesting phrases, I think Winston Churchill sais them:

" In a war the first victim is the truth"

"The History is made by the winners of the wars"

Or the losers of an election. Do you understand how sick these people were of losing to FDR and his ideas?

FDR and his legacy had powerful foes within the United States. It's a smear job. You are accepting a smear job as history. It's not history; it was a shameless political attack.

It is impossible that FDR knew in advance that the Japanese were going to attack Pearl Harbor. Had he, they would have attacked the Japanese task force and the war would have started anyway. The man was very bright, and he was a genuine patriot. The type of evil required to sit back and let American servicemen be slaughtered in their hammocks did not exist inside of FDR.

The notion they needed a devastating defeat to get the country to accept war is absurd. They could have smashed the Japanese task force and USA would have been in the war just as fast, and just as steadfast.

The fact is, it was a surprise attack. A well-executed one, too.

Yeah, but you've got to realize that the Europeans who say this kinda' stuff think the CIA attacked the twin towers. So you can't really care too much about what comes out of their mouths.

When I started this topic I did no say that FDR Adm. knew about the attack. I was just asking. Otherwise, I do not think that is impossible that they knew it, other thing is that they could´t react. remember that as some body said before you already Knew japanesse secret code.

"I think that this attack was just the excuse Rosvelt needed to enter WW II. I should not be surprised because this is the way the US has began or join many wars."

Did I somehow misunderstand you?
