Passchendaele

I've yet to see it, but my buddy went right after it came out and said it was amazing. Definitely something people should see...especially Canadians, obviously.

The battle scenes are very good indeed. But the love story is too contrived and borders on the ludicrous. But, if you can put up with two thirds of the movie being mush, the battle scenes are worth it.

You may want to skip Valkyrie. Tom Cruise as Count Von Stauffenberg is just plain silly. There are good production values in this film. Then again, maybe its just me but Cruise as Stauffenberg had me in stitches. Aint unconcious comedy just the best.

Finally saw this a month or so back. Although I will agree with papasha40 on the love story bit...the remainder of the movie is well worth it.
