Pakistan, Iran finally sign gas pipeline accord

One wonders why now after 14 years this agreement gets signed? Just one big happy family and maybe China gets oil & gas via pipeline down the road cutting out the tankers. China busy they just bought a oil rig building company the other day. (I attached the link below)

What stops China from building 30 oil rigs/platforms on those little islands near Vietnam now? China buying upstream oil and it's nearby, think of the impact of maybe buying lower priced oil then at market prices?

China has a bigger stake in this pipeline than Pakastan does. a little under- the table- jerk by china was probably an instigator to get this deal signed.

I agree China is behind this but can this pipeline be protected? I don't like seeing Pakistan and Iran do anything together period. China deals with both of them on many levels.

I think buying the oil platform building company is bigger then it looks but I guess time will tell.
