Operation Valiant Sheild.

Do we actually have nuclear reloads for the boomers? I think theyd be pretty a much a one time use thing.

You could reload them if you had the time and weapons, but you just nuked a nation, something very bad would have happened for that to occur. Besides we have over a dozen, the slbm fleet alone could take out russia.

Which would lead to Russian SLBMs and TEL-launced ICBMs taking out the United States.

SLBMs are some hardcore deterrents. You can't knock them all out and they have tons of firepower. Just one boomer would be enough to prevent an attack.

Nuclear weapons today are useless against other nations with the same capability, i.e. China and supposedly North Korea.

And while those vessels may possess insane amounts of firepower, it doesn't present a visual intimidation factor. I've explained that once already.

But just knowing that they're around, lurking...somewhere is enough to be scared.

three Nimitz-class carriers with about 75 aircraft, their escorts with tomahawk cruise missiles, and those invisible attack boats. not something i would want to :cen: with.
