BAGHDAD, Oct 11, 2006 (Xinhua via COMTEX) -- A civilian was killed and 19
people wounded Wednesday when three car bombs went off separately in
Baghdad, a well-informed Interior Ministry source said.

"A car parked in the Ghadier neighborhood went off near a police patrol,
wounding seven people, including three policemen," the source told Xinhua
on condition of anonymity.

"Two car bombs also detonated successively near the Ministry of Labor and
Social Work in the central neighborhood of Waziriyah," the source said.

The first car blast occurred at about 10:00 a.m. (0700 GMT), and then a
nearby car went off, killing one and wounding 12, including three policemen,
the source said.

The blasts also damaged several nearby cars and buildings, the source said.
