I seen on Irish Tv last night the film about Columbine.

And acording to the film yer nuts about guns and not doing anything good enough to make a difference.

And acording to the film ye (as a nation) blam it on everything and anything, but its down to how afraid ye are. Remember the cartoon on it?

In my opion ye are nutsos on weapons from this site.

Whats yer opion?

If it's the movie "Bowling for Columbine", then don't trust it. Michael Moore is not what you would call an honest man...

How could you possible lie about that?

He opens your eyes and told it from the point of view no one wanted to know about.

And the evidence is there

Well whats your opion or is this just an example of neglect, nuts and 'not wanting to know about it'?

Dougal, that was NOT a documentary, but rather an opinionated dipiction of a filmmaker's views about gun ownership in America.

Yes, American's love their guns. So much so, that they wrote it right into our Bill of Rights. 2nd Ammendment to our Constitution. Understand, as Americans we do not want the government telling us what we can and cannot have as protection or hobbies in our homes. Nor will we allow that to happen. There are laws in place that punish those who use firearms irresponsibly, or who have them illegally.

There are a bunch of folks like Michael Moore who are very socialist leaning in their beliefs and want to see government restrictions on everything. I encourage them to find a country which offers that system of government. America isn't interested.

You might want to clarify what you're saying there, chief.

From what you have posted, you are basing your entire position on this subject off of what you saw in a "documentary" made by a man (using the term loosely) who does not even respect his own body, still less his country or, as far as I have seen, anything else in this world. His "statistics" have been proven time and again to have been falsified (I believe DTop put up the link to the story, I'll post it as soon as I find it again), and he edits his videos to make whatever he wants out of what actually happened.

As far as your statement:

How could you possible lie about that?

I don't want to put words in your mouth, but I don't think it would be too much of a stretch to suppose that you are one of the folks who believe the conspiracy theories about President Bush intentionally lying to my country and the world about Iraq, and if so, how can you believe that someone could intentionally send his country to war without reason and then claim that St. Moore would never ever lie to make money off the poor shills who buy his books and watch his movies?

I think some redneck whooya should put a few carefully chosen rounds in Moore's fat tub of a stomach :rambo: I think it should be someone from Texas since that's where W's from! And Americans are not all nuts about guns. Those guys from Columbine were a few sick bastards who couldn't get any whoopie.

And this is why some folks believe an ass like Moore.

oh... my......

WE LOCK OUR DOORS! HOLY CRAP! Something is wrong with America! We lock our doors! What kind of wacked out country!?

Okay now everyone take a deep breath and let it out slow.Good. Now go rent the movie again, try to watch it without holding your AK and instead go in unopinionated and then come back and tell me what you think.

And I'm guessing that the only way to go in "unopinionated" is to go in thinking exactly the way you do, correct? Most people are going to believe whatever fits their own personal agenda, yourself included, so I would suggest you hop on down off your high horse there.

Right, and we Irish never had/have an affinity for firearms - please.

Bowling for Columbine is an excellent film to base your opinions on. Why not? It's one film, written by one man who takes facts and adds his own opinions on them. It obviously portrays an entire country! That's right, one money making, sensationalised, opinion piece is obviously an excellent source to use to make a broad sweeping generality about an entire country and the people that reside within it.

Ridiculous.

Redneck, using the term High horse is kinda funny when your avatar is a man on a high horse but i digress

And yes by UN opinionated I mean share my opinion right? NO. Thats the exact opposite of what I just said. I like guns. I dont own any but I like em anyway. Does that mean I belive anyone should be able to own any type of gun then want, no. I belive there should be restrictions on the guns we get but thats my opinion and not what I asked all of you to do. Im simple asking for everyone to look at the movie rationally and objectively instead of going in with one stedfast opinion already set in place.

You certainly had a funny way of saying it, chief.

As far as the movie goes, if you want the facts, there are a lot of other places to get them without watching Moore troll around looking down his nose at the world, as well as get the facts free of his more lofty flights of imagination.

The AK thing was a joke, I figured people here were mature enough to tell the difference between a joke and me saying somthing for real.

Ok, get back in the general area of the subject.

Word to the wise, speaking down to people generally does not amuse them. Michael Moore also suffers from this delusion.

Better watch that over confident arrogant attitude there, hero. Instead of attempting to insult others, next time state your opinion as it is. Trying to denigrate others opinions and view points does nothing for your cause nor your agenda, and it only makes you and your argument look weak.

You may find it to be surprising, but not everyone gets their information spoon fed to them by propaganda films such as "Bowling For Columbine," or the various other films that make it to the theatre with nothing more than a profit in mind.
