Nine people die in latest Japan suicide pacts (AFP)

This part of the article caught my eye..

"Japan has the highest suicide rate in the industrialized world"

And they applaud themselves for working so hard. Seems all work and no play makes Jack a dead boy - not a dull boy. Really terribly sad when your idea of a vacation is offing yourself.

I do not agree with your philosophical statement. Do you not realize their "productivity" during the 70's and 80's resulted from this surge of "Hard Workers"? Perhaps you can enlighten yourself tremendous impact of social beliefs with the fundementals of global economics.

Perhaps you can improve your attitude.

I'd rather be less productive and happy than very productive and miserable. The Japanese are falling asleep on their feet they're so exhausted. You see pictures of them passed out on the street from overwork. And the articles statistic of them having the highest suicide rate of any industrialized nation on the planet is indicative of that.
