EVERYONE,

Report this to the FBI. Time to send a message. Flood their email. This falls under the Stolen Valor act and we need these people in PRISON! Do your duty and report it! Every REAL soldier counts on you. Everyone TALKS about supporting us. Here's your chance to get a CRIMINAL using the name of a soldier in prison. Do it.

Dear Sir/Madam

My name is (staff Sgt.) Rice David; i am an American soldier, serving in the Military with the army's 3rd infantry division.

i have a very desperate need for Assistance and have summed up courage to contact you.

I found your contact particulars in an address journal and I am seeking your kind Assistance to move the sum of Five million United States dollars
(us$5,000,000) to you In your country, as far as I can be assured that my share will be safe in your care Until i complete my service here.

Source of money: some money in various currencies were discovered in barrels at a Farmhouse near one of saddam’s old palaces in tikrit-iraq during a rescue operation, and it was agreed by staff Sgt Kenneth buff and i that some part of this money be shared Between both of us before informing anybody about it since both of us saw the money first.

This was quite an illegal thing to do, but i tell you what! no compensation can make up For the risk we have taken with our lives in this hell hole, of which my brother in-law Was killed by a road side bomb last time.

The above figure was given to me as my share, and to conceal this kind of money became a Problem for me but with the help of a British contact working here and with his office Enjoying some immunity, i was able to get the package out to a safe location entirely Out of trouble spot.

he does not know the real contents of the package, and believes that it belongs to a British American medical doctor who died in a raid here in Iraq, And before giving up, trusted me to hand over the package to his family in country.

I have now found a very secured way of getting the package out of Iraq to you at home For you to pick up, and i will discuss this with you when i am sure that you are willing To assist me and that my money will be well secured in your hand.

I want you to tell me How much you will take from this money for the assistance you will give to me.

One Passionate appeal i will make to you is not to discuss this matter with anybody, should You have reasons to reject this offer, please and please destroy this message as any Leakage of this information will be too bad for the u.s. soldier's here in Iraq.

I do Not know how long we will remain here; month of May was the deadliest month for us out Here. Totally, we lost 127 men and i have been shot, wounded and survived two suicide Bomb attacks by the special grace of god.

This and other reasons i will mention later Has prompted me to reach out for help.I honestly want this matter to be resolved immediately, please contact me as soon as Possible with my private e-mail address which is my only way of communication (e-mail: sgtricedavid@yahoo.co.jp)

May god bless you and your family

From Sgt.Rice David.

I've received these damn e-mails...almost on a daily basis on all my accounts,...Its :cens: annoying if you ask me...so I just click on the :spam: LOL!!

I don't know about disgusting as much as amusing, seriously what level of idiocy does it take to believe that someone you have never heard of before is emailing you out of the blue to help him launder money?

No matter what I have always believed and followed the old maxim, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is too good to be true.

I also get these emails daily usually from huge companies that happen to use yahoo, hotmail or gmail as there reply address, fortunately the Thunderbird email filters work extremely well and few if any make it to my in box.

They only exist because the world is full of brain dead people who believe these scammers.

Unfortunately we can't outlaw idiocy.

No, but sometimes people with the right computer skills have fun with them and cause them all sorts of problems. Must be a pain in the ass to find your inbox literally filled to capacity with randomly generated subjects when you're trying to scam folks.

I used to use Phasma 2000 the best mail bomber around at the time, unfortunately it's now unavailable.

Frankly I wouldnt bother its not worth it. I had dealt with this type of thing on a business level (yes these guys target businesses too), its hardly worth persuing with the authorities. Trust me, it will go nowhere.

Do you understand how these scammers work? First of all they are based in Nigeria, or other countries which are well outside the jurisdiction of the FBI. Second of all, Nigeria is the corruption capital of the world from the very top of power to the very bottom. Its also a extremely poor country. (And that goes for other countries that hatch these frauds). You imagine the sympathy they have for wealthly white and Asian people who are too dumb to watch over their wallets.

Secondly, the local governments won't help (they are often in on these scams, by "taxing" the fraudsters). The FBI/Secret Service has bigger fish to fry, I can guerentee you they dont give a rats as*. The fact is VERY VERY few of these crooks are actually prosecuted.

Thirdly bombing their email wont work either, these guys work out of cybercafes with dozens of email addresses and false IDs. I am sure you know how easy it is to create a free email account? All can do is a few minutes inconvience...its not worth the effort, trust me.

Fourthly, some of these fraudsters are often involved in organized crime. Do you want to mess with that?

So if you want I best course of action? Whenever you get these emails click the "delete" key. The only reason these guys are still around is because of stupid people in America and Europe whose greed/fear/ego/heart is bigger than their brain.

Old Addage: "A fool and his money are soon parted".

You'd be shocked. I mean, you have read the political forums, right? :) I kid, I kid... but there was a streak there for a while where it seemed that a lot of e-mails were showing up as new articles.

I havent really read it since xmas, basically its just swapped from "Bush sucks" to "Obama sucks" and the same tired old arguments are recycled.

With luck something interesting will happen and make the politics forum interesting again.

Oh come on... You haven't jumped in on the Iranian missile threats? That's new, right? ;)

I skim some threads that sound interesting like "Global Warming", "Evolution" or "XXXXXXX is the devil and out to get us" aka Iranian missiles threads but lets face it most of the discussions there are ideological ones and dominated by emotion rather than intellect.

Lets face it there are two main schools of thought in each of those threads:

Global Warming = Science verses the I wont be told what to do by people I can beat up crowd.
Evolution = Rational thought and science verses the Earth is 6000 years old, was made in 6 days and I am not a monkey crowd.
XXXXX is the devil and out to destroy us = People who have heard it all before and didn't believe it then verses right wing christians looking for a new crusade.

And the few that start out intellectually normally descend to emotion within a few pages.

Pop calls it mental masturbation. ;)

Yep well I have made a new years resolution not to get into those battles, I may post a couple of times but once you reach your third, fourth or fifth repetition of the same point you realise that it isn't getting through and never will so its time to move on.

I havn't gotten any like that, instead they claim to be FBI and then try selling me cheap celestra, cialis and viagra.
