"The Horse´s Butt Medal"

Awarded for stupidity that is not as harmful as it is ridiculous.

This medal was awarded to me by the lads the day I retired. It´s the medal I´m most proud of.

How many medals have you got then? :p ;)

Aww, we gonna go into that?

Since you asked- 6 actually...

3 was won when I was in th e service. 1 was I was in the Voluntary Constabulary. 2 was attained for service rendered as a St John Volunteer Officer...

The truth is, these medals never meant much to me. It was given for services rendered- which to me, was something that I would expect for myself to perform to the best of ability. Thiose have stayed hidden in my drawer for sometime now...

My 1 medal is for my 2 year tour of Northern Ireland, it means nothing so I sold it. What will mean more is my Voluntary Medical Services Medal for 20 years in the British Red Cross.

My medals are somewhere in my safe. I get them out once a year for a spit and polish. They don't mean much if I'm honest, never signed up for medals. They just provide good and bad memories.
