New poem

[C/2nd Lt Robot]

Just wondering what you guys/gals thought about my poem i wrote not to long ago.

And when I leave for a far off land
Do not cry for me
For I shall return
This is the life I chose
This is the life I accepted
When I return we shall be together
As a whole, like we were
You’re my reason to survive
You’re my reason to fight
For the freedoms we so greatly enjoy
The look in your eye gives me strength
To overcome any obstacle in my path
Which will lead me back to you
When I return we shall dance
Dance the night away
We will be together
Together as a whole
Like we used to be
The life I chose is not easy
But I crave it anyway

well, I thought it was good. Just to let you know; I used a lot of symbolism. So it's probably not what you think i'm talking about.

If you ever see a book entitled "Labours Of Love" it should be somewhere in there. If i'm not mistakes it comes out sometime in January.

That's a nice job.
But I don't really know if poems and this subject really mix.
It's always seemed like a "shut up and do it," sort of thing.
