Hi everyone,
I found you all because I was looking for something to say to my grandson in congratulating him on his promotion to Corporal, effective 1 Oct 2011. I was looking up "Fair winds and following seas". Now that I have read about it, I wonder if it is appropriate for a Marine. Although, he has been deployed aboard ship already.

What do you think?
 
"Fair winds and following seas" is Navy. Go with the basic "Oorah! Semper Fi!" Or pick a line from "The Marine Corps Hymn."
