Just found this site and thought it may be a good place to read about the Army Air Corps in W.W.II. I have an uncle that was in the 8th Air Force 306 b/g. He was shot down July 29, 1943 and spent the rest of the war in stalag 17. Wish I could remember the things he told me about the war before he past away afew years ago. Maybe someone remembers him from those days.
