Served in the SADF 1980-1993, SWA and Angola.
Last posting, Battery Commander (9th Battery), Transvaal Horse Artillery and then Brigade Fire Support Co-ordinating Officer, 72 Bde

Served as the National Chairman, Gunners Association of South Africa (5yrs) and on the Council of Military Veterans Organisations (3yrs).
