One member of the U.S.-led military coalition in Afghanistan was killed and five more wounded in the country's increasingly turbulent west, the military said Friday. Two Afghan army soldiers also were wounded Thursday during a reconnaissance patrol in Farah province. Meanwhile, the military was still trying to identify the remains of victims of a separate roadside bombing Thursday that killed three coalition troops and an Afghan interpreter south of the capital. And Afghan officials said a girl was killed and about a dozen other civilians wounded Friday by militant rockets aimed at a NATO base in Kunar province that hit homes nearby.
