RUn the registery tool...I was worried about it at first but after doing it so many times on so many computers with nothing but good results I now recomend it to anyone...

Or you could reformat...you might have to do this in the end though regardless...If ccleaner doesnt work I have a few other tricks... ;)

Yeah sorry should have looked at the error msg. closer ccleaner will not fix this issue (although it is still a good program :))

According to MS these are the causes

This issue may occur if one of the following conditions are true:
•There is a configuration issue with the CD-ROM drive.
•The MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components) is damaged or is not installed properly.
•There is an issue with the CD-ROM media. For example, the program CD-ROM is damaged or dirty.

If you look at your error message, you'll notice that the computer is having a problem reading the CD.

Therefore you need to start there.

The most common cause of CD read errors is either a scratched or dirty CD. Start there. Examine the CD. Look for any smudges (greasy finger marks are a common cause). You want to use rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth. Use circular motions to clean it (not up and down). To get the best read, the CD must be completely transparent (see your own reflection like a mirror). Rub gently but be firm.

If its slightly scratched, you need to buy a CD repair kit. (About $20). Make sure you get the type that Spins the CD. Its a good investment, Ive saved lots of CDs this way from becoming coasters. The repair kit will apply a new finish to the CD, which will allow the laser to read it.

If its heavily scratched, you have no choice but to ask Activision for a
replacement.

Tell me if this helps.
