The Navy temporarily lost communication with a submarine off Florida Tuesday night and sent ships and aircraft to search for the vessel before it was contacted early yesterday, military officials in Norfolk said. There were no problems with the Los Angeles class submarine, the San Juan, which is based in Groton, Conn. The Navy said it was investigating the incident.
